Concrete Pavers Cleaning & Sealing

CONCRETE PAVER CLEANING & SEALING

Concrete pavers are durable and add beauty & character to outdoor decking, driveways and pathways. Concrete pavers are subject to fade in the Arizona sun and require maintenance to protect their color and maintain a fresh and clean appearance. We have developed Paver Protector Pro sealer specifically to do just that.

Benefits of Paver Protector Pro

  • Natural enhancement to protect color & slow erosion
  • Helps reduce or eliminate permanent stains
  • Much easier to maintain against common tire marks, bird dropping, tree stains–hose/brush off.

Advantages of Penetrating Sealer

  • Concrete Paver Pro (CPP) adds a natural enhancing appearance that is usually considered much more attractive than untreated pavers. The sealer provides a very subtle shine.
  • CPP penetrating sealer can breathe. Water transmission from inside te paver is important to prevent the trapping of corrosive minerals.
  • CPP penetrating sealer provides excellent ultraviolet light protections, similar to when we use sunblock on our skin.
  • CPP is very effective at preventing or reducing permanent staining from plant material, rust, oil stains, and it makes cleaning tire marks off much easier.
  • CPP does not stop efflorescence, but helps to protect from its damaging effects.
  • CPP performance depends on the conditions, but CPP is very effective from 2 to 5 years before requiring reapplication.
  • My CPP penetrating sealer never needs to be stripped. Often, if maintenance of our service is done within 2 to 5 years, it makes it easier for us to clean it, so we can offer a discounted service.

Coating Sealer Negatives

  • Coating sealers do not breathe and will trap water in the pavers. This can be damaging by allowing corrosive minerals to eat the pavers from the inside.
  • Trapped minerals can deposit underneath the coating and discolor it and cause delimitation.
  • Coating sealers are very susceptible to damage from the sun. Yellowing or blushing is a result of the coating sealer changing color, resulting in and unattractive appearance.
  • If a coating sealer becomes stained from plant material, rust, oil, etc., large areas — or sometimes the entire project will have to be stripped to make repairs or match resealing. These, and other reasons, can result in a coating sealer needing to be stripped.

Before: Mineral build up around the fountain.
